Braunwald is located in the southern Glarus region on a high plateau at 1300 metres. The car-free mountain village is also often called the sun terrace. Braunwald is a holiday resort with a skiing area in winter and a hiking area in summer. Braunwald also offers all kinds of mountain and alpine experiences such as via ferratas, biking, hiking and paragliding. Braunwald is also geared towards families and has many child- and family-friendly activities.

Braunwald is on the Via Alpina and looks forward to many Crossing Switzerland runners!
